Squeeze is a smoothie and juice bar in south Denver. We have been working on updating their current architecture and graphics. Especially important to the client is the addition of merchandising in the front area of the bar. Asymmetrical shelving has been integrated into the front facade to showcase various food items for sale. This change also allows for an area for kids to watch the blenders in action, and openings to allow more natural light into the structure. Digital boards have replaced the current printed substrates. White subway tile has been added to the interior walls. The back-of-house area has been hidden from view via a new wall insertion. This wall is now used for display of the wheatgrass, and for other aesthetically pleasing foodstuffs. The overall design is minimalist and attempts to entice people from afar with the clean look, lighting elements, layered materials and asymmetrical tectonics.
